Brilliant idea. Hey, news flash: Kids need meditation like busy adults! If you have kids of your own (or your friends do) you already know that there is a large amount of stress in kid’s lives these days with overstimulation from electronic devices, tons of homework and busy schedules. Having kids stop and meditate can help calm and soothe them. This app has a structured meditation program for kids of different age groups with a set of calming music.

15. Stop, Breathe and Think

This intuitively designed and supremely accessible app puts learning front and center, and includes a Basics page that explains some of the science behind meditation. Included are 15 no-nonsense guided meditations that focus on a single concept, like Equanimity. Best of all is the Check In screen that asks you to pinpoint your current mood and emotions, then recommends three different meditations based on your answers. A progress page tracks the time you spend meditating, your most frequent emotions, and your “Weekly Settledness” score. 26. Marine Aquarium

For some, the best way to relax is to watch aquatic life. But unless you have a fish tank at home, it’s unlikely you have access to this calming scene and, even if you do, you can’t take your fish tank everywhere with you. Marine Aquarium, a paid iOS app, works on both iPhones and iPads and allows you to select which fish you would like to see and adjust the light settings for ambiance. If you’re in kind of a funk and white noise and mind mapping apps just aren’t doing it for you, watching aquatic life could be a good alternative.

27. Anti-Anxiety
